The financial analyst is a key position that will work closely with the FP&A Manager, Controller, CFO and COO, and other key executives to create, define, implement, evolve and report on MiX Telematics key metrics and processes. We’ll be looking for you to identify trends, drive review meetings, and make recommendations on what we can do to improve and execute better going forward. You’ll play a key role in creating new models to help us think about the business, analyze company performance, work on special projects to help us accelerate our growth, and interact with key stakeholders across the business to drive the decision-making process. MiX Telematics is a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment that requires a high level of commercial acumen, superb analytical skills, the ability to communicate complex concepts to a variety of audiences, the drive to set and meet deadlines without being asked, and the desire to push yourself harder than you have before. We also need you to expand and optimize the capabilities of our systems helping us to move more of our models and workflows out of spreadsheets while working with various stakeholders across the business to extract the data they need in a consumable, scalable, and repeatable format.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, accounting
- 1-4+ years of strong analytical experience in an investment banking, consulting, financial planning, business analysis or sales operations role preferred
- Experience in a software or SaaS environment is preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Superior communication skills and the ability to collaborate with all levels of an organization
- Can-do attitude and ability to positively implement change
- Ability to work in a high performing team environment where you will be expected to hold yourself accountable for your work product
- Strategic thinker with excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Well organized with strong time management skills
- Possess the ability to work independently to identify, analyze, and solve business problems while operating as part of a larger team
- Willingness to accept constructive criticism and the ability to provide it others
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, accounting
- Expert – Mastery level in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Microsoft Access
- Adaptive Insights experience as a user is desired; though don’t let a lack of this prevent you from applying

Responsibilities:
- Traditional FP&A responsibilities such as assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, reporting out results, and acting as the analytical engine for MiX Telematics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve business problems.
- Proactively identify opportunities for change, process improvement and system enhancements.
- Work with key department executives to enhance and refine models, dashboards, and analyses for their teams with the goal of helping them use our financial and operational results to better understand company performance.
- Solve business problems and provide decision support
- Assist in preparing the annual budget and quarterly forecasts
- Learn, understand, and improve our billing model to maximize efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement a new Fixed Asset Register and enhance the current process and reporting of the FAR.
