Mix Telematics has a vacancy for a Credit Controller, this position will be based in Midrand. The Credit Controller is responsible for building a positive relationship with both internal and external customers in order to receive payments timeously and reduce bad debt.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively manage debt collection on assigned accounts
- Reduce Debtor days and increase company revenue
- Issuing of statements and recons to customers in accordance with our SOPs
- Resolution of queries
- Liaison and communication with internal departments as required in order to maintain an accurate position on customer accounts
- Prioritise and manage a challenging workload whilst maintaining a high level of customer service and satisfaction; and
- Preparation of weekly reports.
Must have requirements include:
- Matric
- Tertiary qualification (Credit Management or Bookkeeping) will be an advantage
- At least 3-5 years’ experience at a senior level dealing with big Corporate, Dealer, Fitment Centre and Hardware accounts
- Proven ability insofar as achievement of targets
- Knowledge of full function credit control and bookkeeping principles
- Knowledge of accounts receivable/payable and bank
- Good analytical and problem solving ability
- Must have own transport and a valid driver’s licence
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Outlook with advanced Excel), must be able to do a reconciliation on excel from scratch
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service; and
- Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and standard acceptable practices.
