The Role

We are looking for a motivated self-starter to acquire new accounts and work with partners and resellers on strategic business growth objectives. Your passion for how technology can improve your customers business will drive you to identify, target and close deals that create success stories for new clients subscribing to MiX Telematics suite solutions.

You will identify, build, grow and maintain a healthy funnel of potential new opportunities including relationships with end users, dealers, consultants and strategic partners. Key target industries will include but not limited to the mining and resources, government, water & waste water and transport and logistics industries.

Drive for results:

  • Focus on high return and profitable opportunities.
  • Prospecting: coordinate with the Sales and Marketing team on lead & sales opportunity qualification.
  • Take initiative to work independently with a vision on personal and team goals.
  • CRM pipeline management including documenting, tracking and following up on all active opportunities.

Strategic Seller:

  • Understand and effectively navigate complex buying situations associated with large organisations and governments.
  • Understand the role of multiple stakeholder engagement, ability to articulate business value and leverage the customer Capex / Opex process.

Communication:

  • Actively investigate the clients’ needs through effective questioning and listening skills.
  • Deliver clear, concise presentations with enthusiasm that demonstrates knowledge and value of MiX Telematics products and services.
  • Proactively and regularly engage with key stakeholders within MiX Telematics including but not limited to: Marketing, Operations and Finance.

Relationships: 

  • Build effective relationships and collaborate with peers, managers and colleagues across MiX Telematics.
  • Openly communicate, provide feedback and shares ideas.

Desired Experience and Attributes:

  • Tertiary qualifications are well regarded
  • Experience in complex sales with long lead times
  • Proven new business acquisition track record
  • Excellent written, communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytic skills to determine pricing and cost management as well as ROI metrics
