Location: Boca Raton, Florida (this is an office based position)

Objectives of this Role

  • Support the company in optimizing our financial transactions and systems by performing reconciliation of payments and customer accounts
  • Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts receivable process identifying areas of performance improvement

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared
  • Monitor and collect accounts receivable by contacting clients via telephone, email, and mail
  • Perform daily cash management duties, including the recording of bank deposits, updating and distribution of cash receipt logs, and posting of cash to the accounts receivable sub-ledger
  • Updates receivables by coordinating and monitoring daily bank remittance transactions and checks. Review bank activity for incoming wire/ACH transactions.
  • Enter data into accounts receivable general ledger accounts.
  • Posts revenues by retrieving, verifying and entering transactions from data downloads from financial analysts.
  • Maintains financial security by adhering to internal accounting controls
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Refund customers for processed RMAs/Returns
  • Address charge backs (customer dispute or declined cards)
  • Email/Upload invoices and statements for customers
  • Update customer tax exempt certificates on a yearly basis
  • Upload certain customer invoices to specific portals (SmartGEP, Ariba, etc)

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • General accounting knowledge (Debits, Credits, Journal Entries)
  • 5-7 years of Accounts Receivable experience
  • Superb time management, detail and follow through
  • Ability to keep company and partner confidences
  • Ability to communicate to upline and keep them in the loop
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Proficient w/ Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations

Preferred Qualifications

  • An associate degree
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Experience in driving process improvement
  • Excellent communication skills
